Being from New Jersey, I was in fair proximity to our last act of cowardice, and had the pleasure of dealing with the fallout for months after. Boston, I’m so sorry for what you are currently experiencing up north. I get it, and it sucks.
I saw the above photo this morning. It’s a series projected onto the wall of the Brooklyn Academy of Music. And it’s true. Regardless of where you live and who you root for, we’re on the same team now. And despite the fact that the catalyst for our unity is an incomprehensible tantrum from someone we WILL find and punish, know that you are loved. It’s one of the best things to know when you feel like nothing is normal and you don’t understand new procedures and no one feels like they can grab a cup of coffee without telling ten people where they’re headed.
This is such a shitty club to be a part of. I’m sorry you had to join.
But you can know that you’re not alone. And that things will get back to what they were, eventually.
So that’s what I’m going with today.
